The Tide Is Coming In
The doors to Driftwood Studios are almost ready to open. I’ve been imagining and re-imagining this place for a long time, and now it’s FINALLY becoming a reality. Driftwood is warm, quiet, and touched with nature in a way that makes you feel a little more human again. (That’s something I’m always looking for in a city like Toronto…in life, really.) Driftwood is an oasis you can step into, even if it’s just for an hour.
This space and this voice are deeply influenced by the things I love most: nature, poetry, literature, and that feeling you get when you stumble on a view or a moment that makes you breathe differently. Not the kind of breath you notice, but the kind your body has been holding onto without you realizing. I’m excited to see it come together piece by piece…and to share it with you!
I’ve called this blog Tidal Notes, a cheeky play on “field notes.” It’s a little different than The Driftwood Guide, which is where I’ll share the science behind massage and practical ways to take care of yourself between treatments. Tidal Notes is more personal. It’s where I’ll talk about what’s inspiring me, what’s shaping this project and space, and the ideas that influence how I work.
Think of it like a conversation over coffee. Not polished marketing copy…just me sharing what’s on my mind as Driftwood grows.
Let’s see where the tide takes us!
